Marnie Richie Poncy, Esq, Attorney at Law
In addition to serving on the Health Council’s Board, Mrs. Poncy is a registered nurse and a member of the Florida Bar. She currently works for Joseph C. Kempe, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, in northern county. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach State College and a guest lecturer at University of Miami. Mrs. Poncy was the supervising attorney of the Bioethics Law Project, of Palm Beach County, from 2002-2009.
She has received numerous grants related to her bioethical (legal consequence of health care decision) studies. The committees that she is or has been a member of include: State Attorney’s Task Force for Crimes against the Elderly, Ethics Committees of Hospice of Palm Beach County, Hospice by the Sea, and St. Mary’s Hospital, to name a few.
Mrs. Poncy’s resume includes serving as the Director of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center High-Risk Pregnancy Program. She has received the following awards: Hero in Medicine Award of Palm Beach County (2008), the Guardian Ad Litem Pro Bon Award (2003), and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Humanitarian Award.
