Alyn Casal-Fernandez, MD, MPH, CMQ, PCMH CCE

Dr. Alyn Casal-Fernandez is a seasoned executive physician leader, entrepreneur, and innovator in healthcare administration, clinical operations, and policy development. She has dedicated her career to improving healthcare delivery for special populations, including military personnel, socioeconomically disadvantaged patients, and immigrants, through leadership roles in both federal and private health programs.
Currently serving as Deputy National Medical Director at Loyal Source Government Services, Dr. Casal-Fernandez is a government contractor and an expert in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. With a Master of Public Health (MPH) and specialized training in Preventive Medicine, she applies evidence-based strategies to oversee medical care for migrants in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) custody. In this role, she leads a nationwide team of clinicians, ensuring compliance with federal healthcare regulations and CDC guidelines while managing key relationships with government agencies including the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at CBP. Her expertise in healthcare contracting, regulatory compliance, and public health initiatives has been instrumental in optimizing medical services under federal agreements.
Dr. Casal-Fernandez is also the CEO and Co-Founder of HHA Hospital Medicine, where she spearheads hospitalist efficiency initiatives and partners with health systems to enhance patient outcomes. Previously, she founded Advinity Health, a payor-agnostic hospitalist group, and co-founded MCCI Texas Hospitalist Group, focusing on improving Medicare Advantage patient management. Her leadership in these organizations has driven significant improvements in length of stay, patient experience, and readmission rates.
Beyond her executive leadership roles, Dr. Casal-Fernandez is an entrepreneur actively developing innovative healthcare solutions, with a particular focus on patient experience and hospital outcomes. She is currently working on multiple projects aimed at improving the intersection of clinical care, hospitality, and operational efficiency in healthcare settings. Her initiatives leverage technology, concierge-style patient services, and data-driven strategies to enhance quality of care and overall patient satisfaction.
Her diverse career also includes roles as Chief Medical Director at Medical Care Consortium Incorporated (MCCI) and a consultant with Datalink Software, where she helped develop innovative EMR and disease management solutions. She has been an appointed faculty member at NOVA Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, mentoring medical students and contributing to academic research.
Dr. Casal-Fernandez holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from NOVA Southeastern University and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Iberoamerican University. She is board-certified in medical quality and holds multiple professional certifications in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, as well as healthcare management.
