Health Information & Resources

  • Lake Okeechobee Rural Health Network serves Glades, Hendry, Okeechobee, Martin and Palm Beach Counties. The page features up-to-date information and resources for rural communities.

  • 1 (866) 684-5885. Call when information and guidance on resources available to seniors, adults with disabilities and their caregivers is needed. Call if you're looking for access to food, food stamps (SNAP), home delivered meals, shopping assistance, caregiver resources, rent assistance, electronic bill assistance and other long term care needs.

  • At this time, Community Health Advocates (CHAs) are not meeting clients in-person, providing testing, or accepting walk-ins. However, we are doing everything we can to continue working with our clients via the telephone or other electronic means to the extent that it is possible. CHAs provide medication assistance, linkage to care for individuals living in Palm Beach County (including people who are newly diagnosed and who have been out of care), we help individuals navigate the local healthcare system and refer to community resources via medical and non-medical case management. Food Insecurity and Assistance

  • The Palm Beach County Food Bank (PBCFB) partners with food pantries, soup kitchens, residential facilities, and other social services organizations that are located throughout Palm Beach County.

  • Martin County School District's Food & Nutrition Services Department is serving free meals to children in Martin County from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through Friday, May 1, 2020.

  • The School District of Palm Beach County continues its commitment to feeding students while schools are closed. Thirty-five sites across Palm Beach County are distributing ‘Grab and Go’ meal bags. Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

  • Senior Hunger Relief

    Seniors who need food should call 866-684-5885 or 2-1-1.

  • Treasure Coast Food Bank supports a network of emergency food assistance programs in Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee Counties. If you are in need of food their website has a list of food banks and an emergency assistance application.
